"Galerie Jean Louis" opened its doors of the Cabarete store at the beginning of September 2008. We are exhibiting Haitian art and Batik paintings exclusively. All Haitian paintings have been acquired in Haiti. Haitian art is quite diverse. To truly appreciate all different facets of the art produced in a Haiti as well as Haitian artists living abroad one has to immerse oneself in the culture for a while. Some of the art is depicted in naivety, other paintings are more impressionistic, again others are quite surreal or abstract.
